On Friday, 19th we made our way down the road (literally!) to Hampton in Arden, Solihull for Caroline and Andy’s wedding. The Manor itself is a beautiful wedding venue very close to our HQ, in Coventry, with only a 12 mile journey to go! Though nothing makes us happier than a satisfied bride and groom… when the drive is easy, the load in is simple and the food is filling, our night is just that much better!
Hampton Manor is a restored estate hired out for weddings, parties, meetings, weekends away- practically everything! The estate has stunning gardens, stylish contemporary rooms and offers great wedding packages for your ceremony, wedding breakfast and evening reception. We love that it is a beautiful venue nearby and we hope to be returning here for many more weddings in the future!
Introducing… Adam Kibble!
Tonight, The CoverUps introduced a new member of the crew, Adam, on lead vocals. It was Adam’s first gig with The CoverUps and we threw him into the deep end… of course trusting fully in his ability to swim. 😉 The feedback was excellent and Adam was all smiles at the end of the night while raving about how great it went! After the couple’s first dance to their chosen recorded track, “How Long Will I Love You” covered by Ellie Goulding, we started the night with a classic hit, “Moondance”, and followed it by “Stuck In The Middle”, another favorite. As always, we are more than happy to take requests from the Bride and Groom and in this case the requests fit perfectly with the night! The dance floor stayed full all the way through to the end with high energy and encores!
Something we just have to mention was the mid-evening entertainment – fireworks!! After our second set, the guests were welcomed outside to enjoy a firework display organized by the bride and groom. What a fantastic way to keep your guests dazzled during the usually “quieter” segments of the evening!
All In For A Spontaneous Conga Exit!
“Take Me Out”, “Don’t Stop Me Now”, “Livin’ On A Prayer” and “500 Miles” were just some of the favored requests and they went down an absolute treat. You can’t go wrong with a bit of Stevie Wonder and Bon Jovi!
We finished the night with The Killers’, “Mr Brightside” and it turned out to be the perfect ending tune for the night. To make it even better, towards the end of the track, as the Bride and Groom were getting ready to leave, all of the guests suddenly ran into formation from all corners of the room and started a conga line! When timings are tight and you want to get everyone outdoors in an efficient fashion, a conga line is probably the best way we’ve ever seen this done!
Thank you to Caroline and Andy for being wonderful clients and for allowing us to host your evening wedding celebration! We had a wonderful time and wish you the best on your new adventure together as husband and wife.
