London Love, Wedding at the Victoria Stakes

We’re back! Kicking off with our first wedding of the year in North London. Although the Victoria Stake may not be the traditional stately home or country hotel for a wedding, it did not disappoint with it’s style, space and service.

The Victoria had a classy upstairs restaurant area fit for a wedding breakfast and a bar space downstairs with plenty of room for guests to dance while us (the band) made some noise. To make the most of the space, there was also an extended bar in the yard, equipped with gas heaters and an impressive bar area. Dom and Julia, you guys chose a great hidden away treat with awesome staff who we could tell enjoyed working there.

One of our favourite things about the night was the bride and groom’s first dance. Forget the conventional approach to first dances, Julia and Dom weren’t having any waiting around and asked their guests to all join in right from the start with their choice of song ‘Love Cats’ by The Cure. Needless to say it was the most packed out first dance we’ve ever seen.

Thanks again to Julia and Dom for having us, we loved playing for you and your guests and thanks again to the staff at Victoria Stake. If your a Londoner and looking for a cracking close to home venue, these guys are our recommendation. What a great start to 2018!
