Ham Polo Club: Lovely Wedding Venue, Lovely Couple

It was an early arrival today at the Ham Polo Club in London. Being set by 5pm was the order of the day. While it gave us a pretty early start to the day, it did afford us a little time to recover after set up, and to discuss any matters arising on tonight’s set list.

Unusually for such a young couple there was a request to err the songs toward classics from the 60s and 70s. We were more than happy to oblige, rolling out a few Beatles numbers amongst others that hadn’t seen the light of day for a while.

Tonight’s first dance was Elvis with the Wonder of You, and the happy couple chose a live recording of the track to dance to. Their request for the first track to be played by us was From Me To You by the Beatles. While not the band’s best known song, it certainly had the dance floor going from it’s classic intro onward!

The three sets tonight seemed to fly by. The audience, bride and groom, and even the venue and quirky photo booth guys (google “groovy booth”) all enjoyed the show. A job well done!
