Just home from a fabulous wedding tonight in Bubbenhall, near Coventry. The couple decided, after visiting a few of the excellent wedding venues in the Coventry area, that having their wedding on the grounds of the Groom’s parents’ house was the option for them. Speaking to them during the evening they mentioned that, while costs worked out about the same as hiring some of the the more prestigious wedding venues around the west midlands, for them having their big day somewhere they have a connection was the most important thing.
We’ll see if we can get hold of any photos of the garden, but for now you’ll have to take our word for it that the garden was immaculately decorated. Lanterns hung from trees, bunting lined the marquee. Every detail was perfectly thought out.
And as for the band’s performance, we had the great honour of playing with the excellent Steve Ling on guitar; always a pleasure! It’s always hard to pick a highlight when the dance floor is busy all evening, but I particularly enjoyed 500 miles. It’s a set regular, and sometimes, like tonight, a few eyes roll as we start playing, but it never fails to get everyone going wild when the first chorus.kicks in!
Off to bed; a good night’s sleep to rest my voice before heading down to Barnsley House for night 3 of this run of weddings!
