Another even numbered month (that’s how I remember it) and another live show at the Riverbank in Nottingham – and a great night it was too! And don’t just take our word for it – before we even got packed away we had a message on our facebook page from a ‘multicoloured hair girl’ about how much she enjoyed the night… check it out:
Rocking The Riverbank
We’ve really enjoyed playing these shows this year. They’re a great change from the more sophisticated atmosphere at most weddings (at least, that’s how they usually start!) and it gives us a chance to really make some noise. We thought we’d try something new this time, and dropped Get Lucky by Daft Punk in on the way out of Billie Jean. As experiments go, this was a success… next time just need to work on a vocoder sound for the instrumental and we’ll be away!
It’s great gigging through the summer. Warm, late nights and long days really get people in the mood for a good party. The highs of this gig definitely included the above experiment with Get Lucky and Billie Jean, but beyond that Place Your Hands was great fun again, and Jonny B Goode always attracts new people to the dancefloor. It’s time to go, but here are some photos by the sound man (cheers for that!).
