Eckington Manor is best known for its high class cookery school, however it also hires out its stunning cosy barn for wedding parties. Sandra & Erich couldn’t have chosen a more beautiful sunset to be wed in-front of. This was only made possible by the glass room where the guests witnessed the couple make their vows whilst in shot of the tangerine glow on the hills behind them.
We could tell Sandra and Erich were both true romantics when they asked our lead singer Adam to play their favourite song on acoustic guitar for the entrance of the bride. A classic by Herb Alper ‘This guy’s in love with you’. Adam then continued to play for the guests whilst they had drinks and congratulated the happy couple on their commitment to one another. He continued to play minstrelling in the corner to add to the buzz and atmosphere of the room.
Once the wedding breakfast was over it was time to head to the dance floor and do what we as a band do best. But hang on, not before one last cheeky surprise..
The venue team wheeled out what we thought was meant to be a… ‘wedding cake’?
A wedding pie! Truly a majestic masterpiece. Sandra and Erich, you were an absolute pleasure to play for. What a fabulous way to finish our last wedding of 2017. We hope you had a great honeymoon and have a blessed life together.
